Japan Tourism Agency Support Project (FY2023)

During fiscal year 2023, the Kyoto Meditation Center launched an initiative backed by the Japan Tourism Agency, aimed at developing premium experiential offerings for international visitors seeking personal development.

The project was developed in partnership with JTB Kyoto and local temples, creating experiences designed to appeal to high-value travelers from Europe and North America. To expand accessibility across the region, training was also provided for 30 tour guides working throughout Kyoto.

This project reflects KMC’s ongoing work to make Kyoto’s contemplative tradition available at a level of quality and authenticity that international visitors — particularly those seeking genuine cultural depth — can trust.
